a serious man A SERIOUS MAN

With Michael Stuhlbarg, Richard Kind, Sari Lennick, Fred Melamed, Aaron Wolff, Peter Breitmayer, Jessica McManus

Written & Directed by Ethan Coen & Joel Coen

As to be expected, the Coen brothers pull together another fantastic movie focusing on an insignificant teacher in a small American town, Larry Gopnik. His wife wants to leave him, a failing student wants to bribe him, his indifferent son has to get ready for his bar mitzvah, and his troubled brother adds to his burden. With their distinct Coen character study style, the grey existence of this unhappy man in this nowhere-America suburb can only become something incredibly unique in their hands as the guy dreams and fantasizes without the real possibility of escaping his Mid-Western suburban fate. One of their more low-key movies, but no less bizarre, funny and oddly dark.

Extra features include three making of featurettes incl. Hebrew Guide For Goys, Creating 1967, and Becoming Serious.
